Manor Farm is a working arable & beef farm, in the village of Grittleton, offering traditional farmhouse bed & breakfast accommodation 6 miles from Chippenham railway station.

Chippenham’s name originated in Saxon times meaning ‘River Meadow’. Its position in a crook of the River Avon has given it, through the centuries, a strategic position and power for its cloth mills. Today the river provides a peaceful backdrop to walking and cycling routes

 I needed somewhere to stay overnight en route from Gloucester to Bournemouth. I found Manor Farm via internet. I chose it because it was close to my route and the cost of breakfast was included (unlike that of some 'budget' hotels.
